Azure Hybrid

Azure Hybrid refers to a set of solutions and capabilities offered by Microsoft Azure that enable organizations to seamlessly integrate their on-premises data centers and infrastructure with the Azure cloud. Azure Hybrid solutions are designed to provide a unified and consistent experience across both on-premises and cloud environments. Here are some key aspects and components of Azure Hybrid:

  1. Azure Arc: Azure Arc is a central component of Azure Hybrid that allows organizations to manage and govern their on-premises, multi-cloud, and edge environments using Azure management tools and services. With Azure Arc, you can extend Azure services, such as Azure Policy, Azure Monitor, and Azure Security Center, to your on-premises infrastructure and other cloud providers.

  2. Azure Stack: Azure Stack is an integrated system that extends Azure to your on-premises data center. It provides a subset of Azure services that can run locally, allowing you to build and run applications consistently across Azure and your private data center.

  3. Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) Connect: Azure AD Connect is a tool that enables synchronization of on-premises Active Directory with Azure AD. This allows for single sign-on (SSO) and unified identity management across cloud and on-premises resources.

  4. Azure Site Recovery: Azure Site Recovery is a disaster recovery service that replicates and protects on-premises workloads, including virtual machines, to Azure. In the event of a disaster, workloads can be failed over to Azure for business continuity.

  5. Azure Hybrid Benefit: Azure Hybrid Benefit allows organizations to use their existing Windows Server and SQL Server licenses to reduce the cost of running virtual machines in Azure. This benefit is available for customers with Software Assurance or qualifying subscription licenses.

  6. Azure Security Center: Azure Security Center provides unified security management and advanced threat protection across your on-premises and Azure resources. It helps organizations detect and respond to security threats consistently.

  7. Azure File Sync: Azure File Sync is a service that allows you to synchronize on-premises file servers with Azure Files. This enables centralized file management, cloud backup, and access to files from anywhere.

  8. Azure Monitor and Azure Log Analytics: Azure Monitor and Log Analytics provide a unified monitoring and analytics solution for tracking the performance and health of applications and infrastructure across hybrid environments.

  9. Azure ExpressRoute: Azure ExpressRoute offers a dedicated, private connection between your on-premises data center and Azure data centers. It provides a high-speed, low-latency network connection for enhanced performance and security.

  10. Azure Private Link: Azure Private Link allows you to securely access Azure services over a private network connection, ensuring that data remains within your network perimeter.
