Java Sample Programs
Sure, here are a few examples of simple Java programs.
- Hello World
public class HelloWorld {
public static void main(String[] args) {
System.out.println("Hello, World!");
}
}
- Fibonacci series
public class Fibonacci {
public static void main(String[] args) {
int n = 10, a = 0, b = 1;
System.out.print("First " + n + " terms: ");
for (int i = 1; i <= n; ++i) {
System.out.print(a + " ");
int sum = a + b;
a = b;
b = sum;
}
}
}
- Factorial of a number
public class Factorial {
public static void main(String[] args) {
int num = 5;
long factorial = 1;
for(int i = 1; i <= num; ++i) {
factorial *= i;
}
System.out.printf("Factorial of %d = %d", num, factorial);
}
}
- Checking if a number is prime
public class PrimeCheck {
public static void main(String[] args) {
int num = 29;
boolean flag = false;
for(int i = 2; i <= num/2; ++i) {
if(num % i == 0) {
flag = true;
break;
}
}
if (!flag)
System.out.println(num + " is a prime number.");
else
System.out.println(num + " is not a prime number.");
}
}
Remember to run these programs, you need to save the file with the same name as the public class. For instance, HelloWorld.java
for the HelloWorld program.
