Power View Excel 365

To use Power View in Excel 365, follow these steps:

1. Prepare Your Data: Ensure that your data is organized in a tabular format with clear column headers. Power View works best when you have well-structured data.

2. Enable Power View: Power View is an add-in in Excel. To enable it, go to the “File” tab, then click on “Options.” In the Excel Options window, select “Add-Ins” on the left, and in the “Manage” dropdown at the bottom, choose “COM Add-ins.” Click “Go…” and check the “Microsoft Office Power View” option. Click “OK” to enable Power View.

3. Create a New Worksheet: In your Excel workbook, create a new worksheet where you want to build your Power View report.

4. Insert Power View: Click on the “Insert” tab in the ribbon. You should now see a “Power View” button in the “Reports” group. Click on it to start building your Power View report.

5. Build Your Report: Power View will open in a new window, and you can start building your report by selecting fields from your data and creating visualizations like tables, charts, and maps.

6. Interactivity: One of the key features of Power View is interactivity. You can create slicers, filters, and hierarchies to allow users to interact with your report and explore the data.

7. Save and Share: Once you’ve created your Power View report, you can save it in your Excel workbook and share it with others. It’s important to save the workbook in a format that’s compatible with Excel 365 for easy sharing.
