Python Sleep
Python Sleep:
In Python, the sleep() function is used to pause the execution of a program or delay the execution of a specific block of code for a specified amount of time. It is part of the time module in the Python standard library.
Here’s an example of how to use the sleep() function:
python
Copy code
import time
print(“Hello”)
time.sleep(2) # Pause the program for 2 seconds
print(“World”)
In this example, the program will print “Hello”, then pause for 2 seconds using time.sleep(2), and finally print “World” after the delay.
You can pass a floating-point number as an argument to sleep() to specify the time to sleep in seconds. For example, time.sleep(0.5) would pause the program for half a second.
Note that when using time.sleep(), the program execution is blocked, meaning that no other tasks or code will be executed during the sleep period.
