    What is Auto GR?

    Auto GR eliminates the need for manual goods receipt postings after production completion. By enabling it in the control key assigned to a specific operation (usually the final one), the system automatically posts the finished product to your inventory upon confirmation. This saves time and ensures data consistency by eliminating the risk of manual errors.

    Benefits of Auto GR

    • Increased Efficiency: Auto GR automates a repetitive task, allowing your team to focus on more critical activities.

    Setting Up Auto GR

    There are two main ways to configure Auto GR in SAP PP:

    1. Control Key:
      • Assign a control key with the “Automatic Goods Receipt” indicator activated to the desired operation in your production order. Standard control key PP03 is a popular choice for the final operation.
    1. Production Scheduling Profile:
      • In the material master’s Work Scheduling view, activate the “Automatic GR” indicator within the production scheduling profile. This profile can then be assigned to the order.

    Important Considerations

    • Single Operation: Only one operation per production order can enable Auto GR. Assigning it to multiple operations will trigger a warning message during confirmation.
    • Collective Orders: Auto GR is currently only available for the leading order in collective orders.
