GCloud Kubectl

“gcloud” and “kubectl” are two separate command-line tools commonly used in the context of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes, respectively.

  • “gcloud”:

It is the command-line interface (CLI) tool provided by Google Cloud Platform. It allows you to interact with various GCP services, such as managing resources, deploying applications, configuring permissions, and more. You can use “gcloud” to perform tasks like creating and managing virtual machines, setting up networking, managing storage, and accessing other GCP services.

  • “kubectl”:

It is a command-line tool used to interact with Kubernetes clusters. Kubernetes is an open-source container orchestration platform that helps in deploying, scaling, and managing containerized applications. With “kubectl,” you can interact with the Kubernetes API server to perform various operations, such as deploying and managing applications, creating and scaling resources, inspecting cluster status, and troubleshooting issues.

In summary, “gcloud” is used for managing resources and services on Google Cloud Platform, while “kubectl” is used for managing Kubernetes clusters and applications.
