Tableau to PowerPoint

Tableau provides the ability to export visualizations and dashboards to Microsoft PowerPoint presentations, making it easier to share your data insights with others in a presentation format. Here’s how you can export Tableau content to PowerPoint:

• Create and Format Your Tableau Visualization:
  • Open Tableau Desktop and create the visualization or dashboard you want to export to PowerPoint.
  • Format your visualization to ensure it looks as desired when it’s imported into PowerPoint.
• Export to PowerPoint:
• Once your visualization is ready, you can export it to PowerPoint using the following steps:
  • • Click on the “Server” menu.
    • Choose “Export” and then select “PowerPoint.”
    • Select the desired options, such as whether to export the entire dashboard or just the view.
  • Choose the location where you want to save the exported PowerPoint file.
• Importing into PowerPoint:
  • Open Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Go to the slide where you want to insert the Tableau visualization.
  • Click on the “Insert” tab.
  • Choose “Object” or “Picture” (based on your PowerPoint version).
  • Select the exported PowerPoint file containing the Tableau visualization.
• Linking vs. Embedding:

  • Embedding includes a static image of the visualization.
