Power BI on Premise

Power BI is primarily known as a cloud-based business intelligence service provided by Microsoft. However, Microsoft has also developed an on-premises version of Power BI known as “Power BI Report Server.” This allows organizations to host Power BI reports and dashboards on their own servers within their network, rather than relying on the cloud-based Power BI service.

Here are some key points about Power BI Report Server:

1. On-Premises Deployment: Power BI Report Server enables organizations to deploy Power BI reports and dashboards on their own infrastructure, providing more control over data and compliance requirements.

2. Similar Functionality: The on-premises version of Power BI, Power BI Report Server, offers similar report creation, visualization, and data exploration capabilities as the cloud-based Power BI service.
