Power BI Google Analytics

You can use Power BI to connect to Google Analytics and create interactive reports and dashboards based on your website’s analytics data. Here’s a general guide on how to integrate Power BI with Google Analytics:

1. Get Google Analytics Data:

   • Sign in to your Google Analytics account (or create one if you don’t have it).
   • Ensure that your website’s data is being tracked and collected in Google Analytics.

2. Enable the Google Analytics API:

   • To access Google Analytics data via Power BI, you need to enable the Google Analytics API for your Google Cloud project.

3. Create Service Account Credentials:

   • In the Google Cloud Console, create a service account and generate JSON key credentials for authentication.

5. Download and Save Credentials:

   • Download the JSON key file for your service account and securely store it. You will need it to authenticate Power BI.

    • Use Power Query and Power BI’s data modeling capabilities to transform and shape the Google Analytics data as needed. You can create calculated columns, measures, and relationships between tables.

11. Create Visualizations:

    • Build interactive reports and dashboards in Power BI by creating visualizations like charts, graphs, and tables based on your Google Analytics data.

12. Publish and Share:

    • Publish your Power BI reports to the Power BI Service if you want to share them with others. You can create dashboards and set up automatic data refresh schedule.
