Java 8 Download for Windows
you can download Java 8 (also known as JDK 8 or Java Development Kit 8) from Oracle’s website. Here’s the general process, but be aware that the specific steps might change:
- Visit the Oracle Downloads page: https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/javase/javase-jdk8-downloads.html
- Look for the “Java SE Development Kit 8uXXX” section, where “XXX” represents the update number.
- In the table underneath, locate the row corresponding to Windows x64 (for 64-bit systems) or Windows x86 (for 32-bit systems). Click the corresponding .exe download link on that row.
- Before the download begins, you’ll need to accept Oracle’s license agreement. Make sure you understand it before you accept.
- Once the download is complete, you can install Java by running the .exe file and following the prompts.
Remember to set the JAVA_HOME environment variable and add it to your system path after the installation. This is crucial for some applications to detect the installed JDK.
