POWER BI ON AWS
Power BI is a business analytics service provided by Microsoft, and AWS (Amazon Web Services) is a cloud computing platform provided by Amazon. Power BI is primarily a Microsoft product, and it is not natively hosted on AWS.
However, that doesn’t mean you can’t use Power BI in conjunction with AWS. Here are a few ways you can integrate Power BI with AWS:
Data Sources: You can use Power BI to connect to various data sources hosted on AWS, such as Amazon RDS (Relational Database Service), Amazon Redshift (data warehouse), Amazon S3 (Simple Storage Service), etc. This allows you to analyze and visualize data stored in your AWS environment using Power BI.
Data Transformation: AWS offers several services for data processing and transformation, such as AWS Glue, Amazon EMR (Elastic MapReduce), etc. You can use these services to prepare and transform data before importing it into Power BI for analysis and reporting.
Power BI Embedded: While Power BI itself is not hosted on AWS, Microsoft provides an option called “Power BI Embedded.” This allows you to embed Power BI reports and dashboards directly into your applications hosted on AWS, providing a seamless experience for end-users.
On-Premises Gateway: If you have data sources hosted on-premises or in a private network on AWS, you can use the Power BI On-Premises Data Gateway. This gateway allows Power BI to securely access data from these sources without exposing them directly to the internet.
