Python 2
Python 2:
As a starting point, Python 2 is an older version of the Python programming language. Python 2 was officially discontinued in January 2020, which means that it is no longer receiving updates or patches, even for serious security issues. Python 3 is the current and future version of the language and has many features not available in Python 2.
Many organizations and software projects have migrated from Python 2 to Python 3 to take advantage of these features and ensure they are using a version of Python that continues to receive updates and support. If you’re starting a new project or learning Python for the first time, it’s strongly recommended that you use Python 3.
