AWS Github
Amazon Web Services (AWS) does not own or operate GitHub. GitHub is a separate company that provides a web-based platform for version control and collaboration on software development projects using the Git version control system. GitHub offers features such as code repositories, issue tracking, pull requests, and collaboration tools for developers.
While AWS and GitHub are separate entities, you can use AWS services in conjunction with GitHub to host and deploy your code. Here are some common ways AWS and GitHub can be used together:
AWS CodeCommit: AWS CodeCommit is a fully managed source control service that hosts private Git repositories. It is similar to GitHub but is directly integrated with AWS services. You can use CodeCommit to store and manage your code securely in AWS.
AWS CodePipeline: AWS CodePipeline is a continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) service that automates the build, test, and deployment of your applications. It can be connected to your GitHub repositories as a source, enabling you to trigger pipeline executions when changes are made to your code.
AWS CodeBuild: AWS CodeBuild is a fully managed build service that compiles your source code, runs tests, and produces software packages. It can be connected to your GitHub repositories and used as a build step within your CodePipeline.
AWS CodeDeploy: AWS CodeDeploy automates the deployment of your applications to various AWS services or on-premises instances. You can use CodeDeploy with your GitHub repositories to deploy code changes automatically to your production environment.
AWS Amplify: AWS Amplify is a platform that enables developers to build, deploy, and host web and mobile applications. It provides a Git-based workflow that connects directly with GitHub repositories, allowing for easy deployment and hosting of frontend applications.
AWS Elastic Beanstalk: AWS Elastic Beanstalk provides an easy way to deploy and manage applications on AWS without having to worry about the underlying infrastructure. It supports deploying applications from GitHub repositories.
