Databricks 8443
Databricks 8443
Databricks uses port 8443 for communication between its control plane and the compute plane where cluster resources run.
If you are using Databricks in a custom VPC or have firewall restrictions in place, you’ll need to ensure that port 8443 is open for outbound traffic from the compute plane to the control plane.
Important Note: The deadline for opening ports 8443-8451 was January 31, 2024. If you haven’t already done this, it’s crucial to update your network configurations as soon as possible.
You can find more information about this in the Databricks documentation:
- For workspaces with PrivateLink: See the article for enabling PrivateLink and the AWS article on security groups.
- For workspaces with customer-managed VPC: See the article for customer-managed VPC and the AWS article on security groups.
