Django Python
Django Python:
Django is a high-level web framework written in Python. It follows the model-view-controller (MVC) architectural pattern and is designed to help developers build web applications quickly and efficiently.
To get started with Django, you’ll need to have Python installed on your system. You can download and install Python from the official Python website (https://www.python.org). It’s recommended to use Python 3.x as Django has better support for Python 3.
Once you have Python installed, you can use pip (Python’s package manager) to install Django.
Open a command prompt or terminal and run the following command:
pip install Django
This will install the latest version of Django.
After installing Django, you can create a new Django project by running the following command:
django-admin startproject projectname
Replace “projectname” with the desired name for your project. This will create a new directory with the project structure and necessary files.
To run the development server and see your Django project in action, navigate to the project directory and run the following command:
python manage.py runserver
This will start the development server, and you can access your Django application by opening a web browser and visiting http://localhost:8000.
Django follows the principle of “batteries included,” which means it provides many built-in features and functionalities to simplify web development. It includes an object-relational mapper (ORM) for working with databases, a URL routing system, form handling, authentication, and much more.
Django uses the concept of “apps” to organize different components of a web application. An app is a self-contained module that encapsulates a specific functionality of the application, such as user authentication, blog posts, or comments.
You can create new apps within your Django project using the following command:
python manage.py startapp appname
Replace “appname” with the desired name for your app. This will create a new directory with the app structure and necessary files.
Django’s documentation (https://docs.djangoproject.com/) is an excellent resource for learning more about the framework and its various features. It provides detailed explanations, tutorials, and examples to help you get started and build Django web applications.
